I don't know about you guys, but from the moment of the final song of the past season ... I have been waiting for this season's premiere.
Seems strange that with all that is going on in the world, I would be so hyped-up about a TV show, but this is the one show that my entire family loves to watch. This may be the salvation of the American family ... then again, probably not. Either way, it provides my family with at least a couple of hours a week where we can all sit in the living room and watch a "family-oriented" show. During this time, at least I can pretend to be have one of those families from the old 50's TV shows ... and I can pretend that "Father Knows Best".

I'm not a fan of "American Idol", bit it's a show of high ratings, for sure.

My favorite part is the bad auditions! Wait, that makes me sound like a jerk. Whats wrong with me? I couldn't carry a tune in a bucket, myself.
I should have known. That must be why you like the popular guy for pres! LOL. Actually I do watch the bad auditions faithfully every year. And I hate to admit it, but I watch the rest as well. I have even voted once or twice...gasp! Don't tell anyone! :0

I'm so glad this is beginning in January!! Maybe I'll be back in the old routine with more time for blogging.
There aren't many family shows left. Even the so-called sitcoms of today are a farce. I've not been an American Idol fan; neither am I fond of champagne. But I'm ready for "American Champagne" posted by Paul!! Bring it on...

terry ... the bad auditions are always a big hit. Bad voice??? Then make sure you only sing in the shower ... everyone sounds better in the shower.
rev ... yes it is good to have a "fun" blog, and one of these days I will. This is a serious blog that will be filled with my inane ramblings of how each contestant did.
angel ... you never noticed it because it is fairly new. American Idol doesn't even start till the middle of January.
inspired ... this blog will make you start watching American Idol ... just to see where all the nonsense I will be spouting is coming from.
niki ... the Blogway Boys have been hacked by Iranian and Chinese intelligence officers. I am currently employing electronic countermeasures with limited success.

Hey Paul,
The chilis and I watch this together too. I love, love the actual competition part and the comradity that develops between the performers...but don't like the whole "bad auditions" part. (Mostly because I don't think it's cool to humiliate people who's dreams have just been crushed, it just doesn't sit right with me, but I know a lot of people find it the best part of the show...so to each their own.) Our other favorite family show is Americas Funniest Videos. I love listening to my chilis laugh at it!!
